River Cities Jazz (18 piece big band) is planning a UK/European tour to raise money toward Rotary’s Polio Plus efforts through concert performances abroad! We will travel June 23, 2010 through July 7, 2010 and perform approximately ten concerts. Concerts will be to raise money, all of which will go to polio eradication through Rotary International. You can help with a donation toward flight and bus travel for band members. The goal is to net at least $320,000 for this amazing cause.

Performances are already being planned and we hope to have the band members’ flights and charter bus travel covered through additional donations as soon as possible.  No band members will be making any money on this endeavor.

Our goal is that the performance dates will raise:
$150,000 - Revenues for approximately 10 performances.
$150,000 - The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation match.
$300,000 - Total toward the Rotary Polio efforts.
